Harvard-Yale game tailgater fatally struck by car

A 30-year-old Massachusetts woman was fatally struck by a U-haul truck in a tailgating area before the Harvard Crimson-Yale Bulldogs game three days ago.

Two other women were injured when the truck, which was carting beer kegs through the tailgating area, suddenly accelerated.

Witnesses at the scene described the driver as appearing "dazed" after the accident. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

Nancy Barry was pronounced dead at 10:15 am at Yale-New Haven hospital. 30-year-old Sarah Short is currently hospitalized in critical, but stable condition; Harvard employee Elizabeth Dernbach suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident.
