Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino has been put on paid leave by Athletic Director Jeff Long after the police report regarding Petrino's motorcycle accident was released last Thursday. Details of the report reveal that Petrino was not in fact alone on his motorcycle at the time of the accident, but riding with 25-year-old Jessica Dorrell, an employee of the Arkansas Athletic department.

Petrino confessed he had concealed Dorrell's identity to prevent what he referred to as an 'inappropriate relationship' from coming to light. 51-year-old Petrino is married with four children.

Long expressed disappointment that Petrino was not forthcoming about his passenger before the police report was released on Thursday. Petrino telephoned Long hours before the report was released to notify him he had been riding with Dorrell.

Long is now conducting an investigation, which could result in penalties such as suspension or firing for Petrino.

Petrino was involved in a motorcycle crash last Sunday, April 1, when he went for an evening ride. Petrino cited wind and sun as the reason for his inability to maintain control of his bike, which he laid down while sliding off a rural, two-lane road 20 miles southeast of Fayetteville.
